AnythingWeather Communications, Inc. is the brainchild of co-founders Gregg Potter and Bill Combes, as the successor to their original company, Widespread Weather Services, Inc. The entrepreneurial spirit shines bright at AnythingWeather. Gregg Potter, President and CEO of AnythingWeather Communications, grew up in Colorado, just east of the Rockies, where he had plenty of opportunities to experience severe weather first-hand. Gregg became fascinated with the beauty of developing storms. At 13, he asked his mom to drive him to chase tornadoes. In awe of the way a thunderstorm could grow up to 60,000 feet in a matter of minutes, Gregg knew already that weather would be his life’s work. Gregg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science at the University of Kansas in 1995, and that's where he met Bill.

 

Bill Combes, VP of Operations and Marketing studied at the University of Kansas and also trained extensively as an Air Force weather forecaster.   Bill grew up in New York. The Blizzard of 1978 sparked a lifelong passion in Bill for severe weather and laid the foundation for his future career.  Together, Gregg and Bill’s mission, right out of college, was to help provide innovative weather services that could improve their clients’ companies’ safety, efficiency and bottom line.  The duo co-founded Widespread Weather Services, Inc., in October 1995. They began by launching one of the industry’s first severe weather alerting services, called WeatherPage.  On August 7, 2000, they established AnythingWeather Communications, Inc., which provides unrivalled 24/7 customer service and complete flexibility.

Gregg and Bill treat their clients and employees with absolute respect and integrity, and it has translated to the explosive growth that AnythingWeather has experienced over the past 15 years.    They continue to innovate by delivering massive amounts of weather data using the latest database and dissemination technology.  AnythingWeather currently provides ground-breaking product offerings with a full spectrum of customized weather products and brands, including:
